Trick-Or-Treat!!!!

We had a FABULOUS time on Halloween. I invited my sister's over with the kids and we made it a taco night. They all got here and we ate a TON of food... then it was on to carving the pumpkins and trick- or- treating!

I refused to go out during the day time because it was just WAY TO HOT outside. So we waited till around 7pm and it was great because we had a nice cool breeze. We went around my neighborhood which turned out pretty well. We only got to do half the neighborhood because all of us were tired but the kids got a TON of candy!!!

BC had SO MUCH fun trick- or-treating. At first he was like "What are we doing out so late and why are all these strange people looking at me"... LOL!!! But he warmed up and gave smiles to everyone.

Pumpkin Patch Time!

On Wednesday we finally got a chance to take BC to the pumpkin patch and he LOVED it. He was amazed to see so many pumpkins in one place! LOL!!!


We just let him walk around and play with all of them. It was so nice. Last year I wanted to take him but with him being so tiny I knew he wouldn't enjoy it as much as he did this time.

26wks... 7mths.... 3rd Trimester!!!!!

HOLY MOLY.... when did this happen?!?!?!?!?! Honestly this pregnancy is going by toooooooo fast! I was asked yesterday if I was "ready" for her to come and I have to say... NO!!!! Not even if she was all "done" and finished baking. I'm just enjoying every moment I have with her alone in my belly. See... I'm a "little" selfish when it comes to my babies and I know that the minute she's out... I'd have to share her. Plus I'm just having fun with her inside of me and I'm in no rush to have her out yet. Don't get me wrong... I just turned 7mths so we'll see how I feel when I'm 9mths... but for now. No thanks! ;)

Things overall have been going really good with her. It's weird how different this pregnancy feels from BC but I guess what they say is right... "every pregnancy is different".

Lets see...

The pains (BH cx)... OMG... I have been getting them since early on in this pregnancy but I tell you... they are nothing like I had them with BC... they are a LOT stronger... not stronger in the sense of "OMG I have to go to the hospital"... but "OMG... these things HURT and are STRONG". With BC I would get them and it was just my belly getting tight so I knew I was having a contraction... this time... I'm saying "okay getting a contraction here... OUCH!".

RLP (round ligament pain)... stretching... you can really feel things expanding in there! I still remember this one time I was running some errands with BC and when I got home... holy crap... the pain just kicked in!!! I was just saying "OUCH OUCH OUCH".... and I had to sit down the rest of the day and put my feet up because it hurt to even move!

OMG... the PIMPLES... okay so you know your random pimple here and there... yeah well I'm NOT talking about THOSE. These are like an extra LIMB!!!!! and the places they show up!!!! Okay so for like a week I would sit down and feel this pain on my butt cheek but didn't know what the heck it was. That night I went on "discovery mission" and guess what I found... a HUGE PIMPLE on my BUTT CHEEK!!!! Who the heck gets a pimple on their butt check?!?!? Leave it up to me!

I think that about covers it for now. ;) But like I said... besides these small things that happen every once in a while... she's been good to her mama.

My appt went well too. Really not much to say about it. I've gained a total of 12lbs so far (most of that is probably the homemade chocolate chip cookies I eat every night) :)

I also had an u/s to see if we could get pictures of my little princess but she's just like her brother and wouldn't show us much. After an hour and a half of trying to get her to let us see and me wiggling my belly, jumping up and down, turning on my side.... she showed us a quick glimpse of her face and guess what she was doing... she was LAUGHING at us!!!! LOL!!!! I swear she totally knew what she was doing and when she looked at us she decided it would be funny to laugh at Mommy and Daddy. LOL!!! The u/s tech was quick enough to snap the picture since she only stood in that position for a few seconds... then she went back to not letting us see. My little one wants to remain a mystery... which is fine with mama.

I go back in 2wks... I'm already going every 2wks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Where is the PAUSE button!?!?!?!?!

I have my glucose test... :( Hopefully I pass it and don't have to go in for the 3hr one! Anyway.. that's about it for now. I'll update you guys in 2wks!

Birthday Week - PARTY TIME!!!!!!!!!

Planning BC's birthday party was SO MUCH FUN. I enjoyed every bit of it. We had so much fun picking things out and planning all the games. Like every Mommy will tell you... it was a little sad because your running around trying to be "such a good host" for your guest that you don't get to spend as much time as you would like with the birthday boy. So I'm glad I had plan the whole week with him so it wasn't that bad.

Since it was late the night before we didn't get to open and play with any of his toys so the next morning was like Christmas... he was SO EXCITED to see all his toys! We opened up a few of them that morning and still have a some to open!

By the way don't mind my pj's... it was COLD!

Birthday Week - 1yr old pictures

We took BC to get his 1yr old pictures at Portrait Innovations. It was the first time we had ever took BC to a "studio" to take pictures. At first he wasn't quite sure what they wanted him to do and was wondering why these "strangers" were trying to get him to laugh but then he warmed up and was a total HAM just like usual.






Look at my adorable MONKEY!!!! The monkey he's handing is the monkey we made him before he was born at Build - A- Bear. If you press his hand you'll hear BC's heartbeat!

Birthday Week - Hair Cut

Getting BC's hair cut was a bitter sweet moment. As much as I knew he needed a hair cut I didn't want to see the curls go. I wanted to keep him my "baby" as long as I could and I knew that after the hair cut... he was going to look like a "big boy" and I wasn't quite ready for it.

The whole time we were there I was holding back tears as I watched them cut off his soft curls. He was so good with the whole thing. He didn't cry once and actually just sat there like a little man while they cut his hair.

I was very pleased with the way his hair cut came out. She did a great job with it. I still miss the curls every now and then but he still looks SO HANDSOME! ;)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MY SWEET BABY BOY!!!!!!!!!

Dear Sweet Baby Boy,

On October 14th 2008 at 6:49am you were born.


This morning I walked into your room and got you out of your crib at exactly the time you were born and rocked you in the rocking chair. I had tears running down my face of how PROUD I was to be your Mommy but also trying to figure out how I manage to be so blessed to be your Mommy. You just laid in my arms sleeping... and I just rocked you back and forth.

I will remember this day FOREVER. This is the day I was BLESSED with such an incredible baby. My heart grew in a way I had never felt before in my life. It was a feeling only a Mommy can try to explain but when you try to find the words to explain them... it's just not possible. This overwhelming joy and love filled my body and I wasn't sure how or what to do with it.

This day... you made me a MOMMY. Just thinking back to how my heart ached with LOVE... makes me tear up. If anybody was to ever ask me what I'm most proud of... I would say without hesitation... MY SON. If you asked me what was the best job I've ever had... I would tell you... being a MOMMY. If you asked me if I would change the way labor went... I would say NEVER! All of these things have made me grow into the Mommy I am today and if I didn't have them then I wouldn't have you.

I cant even begin to tell you what my life was like before I had you and honestly... I don't even care. Carlos Manuel... you have brought such joy into our lives and we are honored to be your parents. Daddy is so proud to walk around with you and say... YUP this is MY son!!! And I... just LOVE everything about you.

It makes me so sad to know that you are all grown up now but I look forward to the coming years. Lord help me but I cant wait to see what new things you begin to do.

Today Mommy took you to BRU (Babies'R'Us) and I just let you run wild and you LOVED it! Your Titi Loraine, Titi Chula, fat boy and Valentina went with us. You played with every toy possible and managed to get lost a couple of times but don't worry... Mommy always found you. You had such VIP treatment... they gave you a crown, a balloon (your favorite), and announced it to the entire store that they had a birthday boy walking around and everyone who saw you, told you "Happy Birthday" and commented on how adorable you are... of course you always smiled at them especially if they were a girl! LOL!!!

Mommy let you pick 2 toys today and when we got home Daddy brought you a cupcake to sing Happy Birthday. You weren't too excited about the cupcake and wouldn't "dig in" but you still managed to taste it and get your hands dirty.

You were out like a light by the end of the day. I don't blame you, you had a BUSY one!

Always remember that my love for you is as high as the sky and as deep as the ocean. Mommy loves you so much my baby boy!
